How Bozeman Vintage Was Born: A Well-Aged Tale Of Love

The Client's Story

"Bev and I have been together for 28 years. Years ago, to show our commitment to each other I wanted to give Bev a ring. Bev is not a diamond girl. So, I knew I had to create something that represented who she is as a person and also represented our relationship. What I came up with was a ring with a blue topaz, as it looked like water because she loves the ocean. I decided to add Ruby (my birthstone) and emerald (Bev's birthstone) to signify our relationship with each other.
The ring itself was purchased while I was in grad school. Thus, it was not an overtly pricey one and after some time it was in need of an upgrade. The topaz had worn, and the ring itself had lost it's luster. That is when I visited with Marina. We discussed, unbeknownst to Bev, a replacement.
This is where Marina's true knowledge of gems had come into play. She let me know how aquamarine is higher on the Mohs scale therefore more durable a stone than the original blue topaz, which suited Bev. I felt aquamarine perfectly symbolized calmness, loving, and selflessness... just like her. So what we decided to do was essentially replace the original ring with an updated, upgraded, and better version of the original. A ruby and emerald were added, just as in the original, and the aquamarine replaced the blue topaz.
The result was a gorgeous ring that embodied Bev perfectly, and as a result she balled her eyes out with joy when she was presented with it.
